MEETINGS, PRESENTATIONS, POTLUCKS, TRIPS

  • Presentations or activities after monthly business meetings cover extensive herbal related topics. Monthly meetings are typically held September through May at Olbrich Gardens.
  • Potlucks are held throughout the year to share herbal recipes, including organized gourmet dinners, holiday potlucks and a spring tea.
  • Education covers herbal topics such as cooking, growing, history, medicinal, craft and home uses. Ad hoc study groups allow for in-depth learning of select herbs throughout the year.
  • Volunteer opportunities include working with Olbrich’s herb garden and other public spaces, as well as events such as our annual Herb Fair and at our exhibitor booth at the Garden Expo.
  • Summer activities may include an herb adventure or a member’s garden tour.
  • Friendships and support of other like-minded individuals.

Member Benefits

NEWSLETTERS

Quarterly electronic newsletters and monthly announcements are emailed to members and have a variety of seasonal and relevant articles on issues and events relating to herbs. Articles cover growing and using herbs (culinary, medicinal, crafts, etc.). In addition, we often feature herbal recipes, occasional book reviews, and a calendar of events and information relating to the organization as a whole.

MEMBER BUSINESSES

Any member with an herb-related business may request to have their business added to the Madison Herb Society’s “Herb-Related Links” web page. Please contact us to make arrangements.
